Our second stint on Ishigaki was without a hire car, and thus we were only able to explore the immediate "city" area on foot.
The somewhat unpleasant marriage of high humidity and high temperature means that we only sauntered around a few streets, and visited just a handful of shops to make use of their air conditioning.
It wasn't long before we were off on another boat, headed once again, to the fascinating Kuroshima. The island is not really that fascinating, other than it reminds me of my home area, with its 3000 bovine and just 200 human inhabitants.
There's not much to see on Kuroshima by the way of tourist attractions, but that's how we like our holidays.
