Following on from my last post, these photos were taken on the 4-hour walk to meet some friends in a part of Tokyo far from our hotel. The weather was hot and sticky, but it didn't stop me from bringing my camera with me, and I am glad I did.
I have had these particular types of shots in mind for as long as I can remember, I just haven't been presented with the specific scenes until now. I hope you like them!
The two below are different; one is a flower that I particularly liked, and the last image is quite an unusual scene I saw before me—the sun was shining through very dark glass and created silhouettes of the flowers in the window, but also there was lots of reflection from the buildings behind, and I liked the contrast. I had to set the metering manually on this one—quite rightly, the camera wanted to balance the scene, but all shadows would have been lost.
