Jet-lagged after a 13-hour flight, we braved an opera performance in Tokyo on minimal sleep. Despite only managing three hours of rest, we enjoyed a sunny 25ºC day and a fantastic performance of La Sonnambula. The struggle to stay awake was real, with the audience’s frequent shouts of “Brava!” adding to the surreal experience. Back at the hotel by 6pm, we finally succumbed to exhaustion, waking just in time for Tokyo’s early sunrise.
